Our plant is important: sustainability

As researchers we recognise that we have an impact on the environment. Therefore we aim to:

• To minimise waste, through: Encouraging the use of electronic reports and email distribution wherever possible.
• To minimise energy use, through: Switching off unused appliances, arranging my workspace to optimise natural light.
• To, where possible, recycle paper and ink cartridges.
• To minimise the impact of business transport, through: Using public transport for longer journeys, where possible, car-sharing and careful arrangement of meetings to minimise distance travelled.
• To minimise the impact of interventions through: Identifying environmental issues and advising clients, searching for alternative options of lower impact and the provision of appropriate guidance materials.
• To maximise sustainability of positive actions through: Working with and through local people and/or those responsible and raising awareness amongst those I work with.
• To identify, respect and respond to environmental policies of clients.
