Social Health

Participle creates new types of public services that make a real difference in everyday lives. The health service in the UK is facing a number of challenges including an ageing population, an increase in the number of chronic diseases and a system which is not economically sustainable. Working with Participle’s design team the user research focussed on understanding the day to day behaviour of participants in relation to their own personal health and wellbeing, identifying motivations, understanding the role of community and family, their needs and barriers to lifestyle change.

Core role:
Research
Carrying out research with end users with a range of medical conditions. A number of different research methods were used including contextual interviews, diary study and social network mapping.

Analysis & synthesis
Working with the project team to analyse the research to identify key themes and emerging trends.
