The objective was to understand how youth workers, librarians and young people interact with technology to identify new opportunities for online learning.
The approach to the research allowed us to build up a rapport with the audiences in a very short period of time, which would have been difficult using traditional market research techniques.
Core role:
Research
Observation and in-depth interviews with a range of stakeholders and teenagers in different settings e.g. schools, libraries, youth clubs and home environments.
Analysis and concept development
Analysed research data with the design team and prioritised the needs of different market segments.
Ideation
Developed concepts to help children to engage with the world wide web.
Prototyping
Prototyped concepts in context where the services will be delivered e.g. Youth clubs with teenagers and youth club managers.
